Zinc is an essential mineral, which means it must be provided by the diet for normal growth and development as well as general health and longevity. Zinc is considered a minor or “trace” mineral, which means it is only needed in small (milligram) amounts, however it plays a role in many different processes in the body. 

 

Zinc is a well known supporter of the immune system and often supplemented for that purpose. Moreover, when combined with Vitamin A, it can support skin health and play a role in the fight against the bacteria that can cause acne. Vitamin World’s Zinc for Acne also contains vitamins A, C, and E, which act as antioxidants that combat cell damaging free radicals.
