Zinc is an essential mineral, which means it is required to be part of the diet and at specific levels in order to prevent deficiency problems. Moreover, zinc is  a micro or trace mineral, as it is only needed in small (millgram) amounts daily, but its important is big, playing a role in many different processes throughout the body . Vitamin World’s Chelated Zinc delivers a chelated form of zinc, meaning that the zinc is chelated, which means it is coupled with another organic compounds, called gluconate,  to help support absorption and availability in the body.
