Tips and Tricks

Tip: Because of its energy boosting qualities, it is best to avoid taking your B complex at night.
Tip: Vegetarians and Vegans may be at a higher risk of vitamin B deficiency and could benefit from taking a daily complex.

Q. Should I stop taking my B complex if my urine turns yellow? I read that this is because my body isn’t absorbing the vitamins and I am just wasting them.
A. Yellow urine is completely normal when taking a B complex vitamin! Don’t worry, as with all vitamins there is a degree of “wasting” - especially if you are taking more of a water soluble vitamin (like B) than your body needs to fill in the gaps. With a B complex specifically, Riboflavin (B2) is usually the culprit for yellow urine.
